The Waresboro Elementary Technology Team recently competed in the Okefenokee Regional Student Technology Competition at South Georgia State College. These students qualified for region by placing 1st or 2nd at the district technology competition. Waresboro students competed against students from seven other counties and placed in several categories.
All first place winners from the competition will advance to the Georgia Student Technology Competition in Macon, GA on March, 9th. Waresboro is excited to have 3 teams representing the school at this level of competition. Advancing to state are Kyler M. and Mylee S. (1st place 3D Modeling - 5/6), Atleigh P. and Cady T. (1st place Productivity Design - 5/6) and Ava B. and McKenna H. (1st Place Multimedia Applications - 5/6). Also placing at the competition were Caden M. (3rd place - Device Modification - 5/6), Brodie B. and Asher L. (2nd Place Internet Applications - 3/4), Lillie L. and Ryleigh S. (2nd place Internet Applications - 5/6) and Cade O. and Jacob P. (2nd place Robotics - 5/6). Technology Team coaches, Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Thrift are so proud of these students and their hard work!
