My Books Summer

Parents and Guardians,

As you know, disruptions in schooling due to the pandemic have resulted in a “learning gap” for many students. This means that many of our students need more reading practice, not just at school but also at home. Elementary schools in Ware County are sending home a reading kit with each second and third grade student so that their parent or guardian can help with any reading gaps or, if a student is already on grade level in reading, help a student read beyond that grade level.

Below is a link to access a video that explains the contents of the reading kit and how to use those contents to work with your student at home. We also are scheduling a live version of this parent workshop at the school this Thursday, March 3rd, at 5:15 if you would like to attend. If you do have questions and cannot attend this in-person opportunity,  please contact the school at (912 )287-2393 or email Holley Todd at htodd@ware.k12.ga.us so that we can discuss your questions.

Thank you for all you do!
