The Ware County High School TSA Chapter joined thousands of Technology Student Association (TSA) middle school and high school student members from across the country at the 2019 National TSA Association Conference from June 28th to July 2nd at National Harbor, MD near Washington, D.C. Ware County TSA member, Manav P., competed in the Prepared Presentation Event. Manav earned the right to compete after winning the Georgia TSA prepared presentation competition in March. Manav competed against over 70 students from around the nation where he gained valuable experience, made career connections, and networked with other student leaders. Manav, a rising junior, attended the event with local TSA advisor and high school CTAE Engineering Pathway Teacher, Mr. Holland Brown. Reflecting on the event, Manav said, “Beyond anything, the TSA Conference was amazing. To have the chance to be totally immersed into the organization my first year was a wonderful experience.”
This year’s conference theme was “Model the Way,” as national TSA marked more than four decades of enhancing personal development, leadership, and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) through intracurricular activities, competitions, and other programs.
It has been a productive school year for the Ware County TSA chapter as they have been active in a variety of TSA events and competitions over the past year. The chapter is looking forward to participating in many more leadership as well as competitive events in the coming year.
