Mrs. Marie Johns from Wacona Elementary is the Classified Golden Achievement Award Winner for January 2021. Upon presentation of the award, Principal John Chancey noted, “Wacona’s nominee for the Golden Achievement Classified Recipient is Mrs. Marie Johns. She is well-deserving because of her dedicated service and commitment to doing the best job, always. Mrs. Johns is tasked with working with our 3rd grade special education students, but she can be found giving a helping hand to any of the Wacona students. Mrs. Johns is a natural in the classroom and is a positive influence in the lives of her students. She is able to quickly find solutions when a student is struggling academically or behaviorally. She is extremely helpful to the teachers in 3rd grade, as well. She is quick to help wherever she is needed and does it with a great attitude. Her positivity, patience, and calm demeanor make her an important and valued staff member at Wacona. Thank you, Marie, for all that you do for Wacona!”
