Fourth graders at Ruskin Elementary participated in a "Dream Big" workshop with Mrs. Camille Wesley. Mrs. Wesley began by asking the students, “What does the term 'dream big’ mean to you? It is splashed all over the walls of your school.” Students were asked to close their eyes and think about what they really wanted to be in life. After the students decided on their dreams, Mrs. Wesley discussed the journey the students needed to take to make their dreams become a reality. Throughout the workshop, students discussed how education and making good choices are important to their future goals. Students were encouraged to believe in themselves, surround themselves with friends and mentors who are supportive, develop good study habits, and remain teachable. According to Principal Donna Solomon, “Community involvement is so important to our students. Our faculty and administration strive to help every student achieve success in and out of the classroom.”
