As part of our school system’s continuing commitment to safety, Ware County Schools has adopted a clear bag procedure for all spectators/guests attending events like sporting/academic competitions, fine arts productions, Honors Day, and other similar activities during the school day and after school hours.
Any bag carried into a Ware County event site must be clear and must not exceed 12” X 6” X 12”. Small clutch bags no larger than 4.5” X 6.5”, with or without a handle or strap, may be taken into the site with the clear bag. The clutch bag does not have to be clear.
Note: The clear bag procedure does NOT apply to students’ backpacks/bookbags carried during the course of the school day. An exception to the clear bag procedure will be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection.
There is no bag valet, so any bag that does not meet these guidelines must be left in the guest's vehicle. All bags are subject to search.
This procedure goes into effect immediately. Thank you for helping us keep our events safe!
