At the June 2023 board meeting, Ware County Board of Education members voted to revise the 2023-2024 calendar.
Calendar changes include:
- one full week of Fall Break rather than a long weekend (October 16 -20, 2023)
- students return to school for second semester on January 3, 2024 instead of January 4, 2024
- March 29, 2024 is now an instructional day, not a professional learning day
- students' last day is Wednesday, May 22, and post-planning ends Friday, May 24
