Mr. Brandon Warren, First Grade Teacher, and Spelling Bee Coordinator at Center Elementary held the school Spelling Bee this morning in the Media Center. Austin C. is our school winner! He is a fourth grader in Mrs. Jessica Carter's class! He also announced the students who tied for first runner-up, Victoria B. and Jobe D. tied as first runner-ups! Victoria B. is a 5th grader in Mrs. Clark's class and Jobe D. is a 4th grader in Mrs. Nettles's class.
We would like to thank our judges who helped in today's event, Mrs. Frankie Royer and Mr. Tom Cribb. We would also like to thank our Speech Language Teacher, Mrs. Emily Perry for calling the words in the event!

5th Grade Students- Mrs. Stephenson's Class-Zayden H. Mr. Abbott's Class- Zaryiah S., Mrs. Clark's Class- Victoria B., and Mrs. Jones's Class- Nivea B.
4th Grade Students- Ms. Frost's Class- Omarie G., Mrs. Gardner's Class- Matthew K. Mrs. Nettles' Class- Jobe D., and Mrs. Carter's Class- Austin C.
3rd Grade Students- Ms. Tyre's Class- Liam O., Mrs. Page's Class- Jemuel O., Mrs. Goldman's Class-Nyimah D., and Mrs. Morrison's Class- Aubryiel F.
Tyler A. Bennett is the Principal at Center and Mr. LeVar Garner is the Assistant Principal. Both administrators were in attendance for this special event and were excited about the way the event was held! Mr. Bennett stated, "I am extremely proud of Austin, and I am confident that he will represent Center well at our District Spelling Bee! All of our Center students did well, and I am a very proud principal!"
