We are excited to announce that Mrs. LeGena Clark's 5th Grade Class collected the most can tabs again this year in the Ronald McDonald Can Tab Drive! The class collected almost 8 pounds of can tabs! They have earned a Pizza Party sponsored by the representative, Ms. Casey Smith at Dental Care Associates.
Mrs. Kristy Foreman, community member and "Waycross Can" representative was excited to announce the winner after she and Ms. Smith weighed almost 40 pounds of can tabs that our Center Elementary students collected in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade. Our school was happy to participate again this year in this great cause!
The challenge is on! If you want to beat Mrs. Clark's class next year, you will need to start collecting tabs now! Mr. Taylor Abbott's 5th-grade class came in second with 5.23 pounds of can tabs collected! Honorable mention goes to Mrs. Jenna Gardner's 4th-grade class for collecting 4.8 pounds of can tabs. We want to thank all of our teachers, students and parents for their part in collecting these tabs! We know this will benefit many families through the services provided at the Ronald McDonald House in Jacksonville!
