Over the weekend, The National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa Inc. sponsored their annual Mamie Kennedy Black History Program and Oratorical Contest.
Students on the elementary, middle, and high school levels were encouraged to write an original oratorical piece that reflected their ideas on making the world a better place, staying optimistic during challenging times, and who inspires them as young African American children.
