During the Fall semester, students were encouraged to participate in a creative writing contest inspired by an American black bear who lived from about 1980 to 1993 near the Georgia National Fairgrounds. The Georgia National Fair hosts a writing contest annually where students can win a cash prize and tickets to the fair. This year’s theme was “Fair Bear Launches into Space” and the top three winners from each grade level win a trip to the Fair to accept their awards. Please help Center Elementary congratulate Alan L. from Mrs. Nettles and Ms. Shelton’s 5th-grade class, who placed second in the entire State, and Raylee A. from Ms. Corley’s 4th-grade class, who placed third in the State. We are so proud of both Alan and Raylee for all their accomplishments! Mr. Tyler A. Bennett is the principal at Center Elementary.
