During Read Across America Week, March 2nd through March 5th, classes at Center Elementary School were reading books in the classroom about different parts of the United States and different cultures in the United States. The top three classes were awarded a book for having participated by reading the most books during that week. Each teacher received for their class an "Oh, the Places You'll Go" book. We would like to thank these teachers, Mrs. L. Clark-Wooten, (5th Grade) Mrs. I. Floyd (Special Education 1-5th Grade) and Mrs. C. Page (3rd Grade). We would also like to thank our art teacher, Mrs. K. Smith for drawing, labeling, and setting up our map so that we could place paw prints on all the states we read books from.
