Classified Golden Achievement Award Winner

Bridgette White is the Classified Golden Achievement Award Winner for February 2025. In presenting the award, Principal Le Var Garner shared the following:

“Bridgette White serves as both the Media Center Assistant and School Counselor Secretary at Center, where she plays a crucial role in supporting students, teachers, and staff. In her position, she ensures that the media center operates smoothly, providing students with access to resources that enhance their learning experience. She helps manage library materials, assists students in finding books and research materials, and fosters a welcoming environment that encourages a love for reading.

“Additionally, she supports teachers by organizing educational resources, troubleshooting technology needs, and maintaining an orderly space for study and collaboration. As the School Counselor Secretary, Bridgette plays a vital role in keeping the counseling department organized and accessible to students.

“She helps coordinate appointments, maintains records, and serves as a welcoming presence for students who need guidance or assistance. Her compassionate and professional approach ensures that the counseling office remains a place of support and comfort. Beyond her official duties, Bridgette consistently goes above and beyond to meet the needs of students and staff. When Center was without a full-time school counselor, she stepped up in every possible way to ensure that students still received the care and attention they needed. She provided stability by organizing resources, assisting with student concerns, and maintaining communication between teachers, staff, and families. Her dedication ensured that students did not feel the absence of a full-time counselor and that teachers continued to receive the support necessary for their classrooms.

“Bridgette White’s commitment to Center goes far beyond her job description. Her willingness to step in wherever needed and her dedication to the well-being of students and staff make her an invaluable part of the school community. Whether it’s helping a student find the perfect book, assisting a teacher with classroom resources, or offering a listening ear, she embodies the true spirit of service and dedication.”
