The Ware County Gators had a busy week of basketball action, with games across multiple teams and grade levels. Here's a breakdown of their performances:

Monday, November 18

The 9th Grade teams traveled to Lowndes County to face the Vikings:

  • Lady Gators: Loss 20-53

  • Boys: Loss 33-41

Tuesday, November 19

Varsity teams hosted Atkinson:

  • Lady Gators: Win 68-25

  • Boys: Win 73-40

Wednesday, November 20

9th Grade teams hosted Glynn Academy:

  • Lady Gators: Win 52-13

  • Boys: Win 60-35

Thursday, November 21

Ware hosted Valdosta:

  • JV Girls: Loss 40-41

  • JV Boys: Loss 32-45

  • Varsity Girls: Win 67-31

  • Varsity Boys: Win 72-60

Performance 

The Ware County basketball program showed improvement throughout the week. While the 9th Grade teams struggled in their away game against Lowndes County, they bounced back with dominant performances against Glynn Academy. The Varsity teams had an impressive week, securing convincing wins in all their matchups.

Standout Performances

The Varsity Lady Gators demonstrated exceptional offensive performances, scoring 68 points against Atkinson and 67 points against Valdosta. The Varsity Boys also showed consistency, with 73 points against Atkinson and 72 points against Valdosta.

Looking Ahead

The Lady Gators will travel to Jeff Davis for two upcoming games:

  1. Saturday, November 23: vs. Dodge County at 1:00 PM

  2. Monday, November 25: vs. Jeff Davis at 7:00 PM

Additionally, the Boys team will be traveling to Florida for two important matchups:

  1. Friday, November 29: vs. Rickards High School at 7:00 PM Florida Get Down Showcase

  2. Saturday, November 30: Boyd Anderson High School at 12:30 PM in the Florida Get Down Showcase.
