The Ware Co. runners competed Saturday at Tift Area Academy in the Panther Prowl. The teams competing in this event included Community Christian Academy, Crisp Academy, Fullington Academy, Highland Christian Academy, Irwin Co., Providence School of Tifton, Sherwood Academy, Southwest Ga Academy, St. John Catholic School, Terrell Academy, Tift Co. HS, Tift Area Academy, Trailblazers Athletics, Valwood School, and Westwood Schools. The Lady Gators only entered 4 runners in the event which did not qualify as a full team. The Gators placed 2nd overall of the complete teams competing in the event. There were 51 runners in the Girls Varsity race and 63 runners in the Boys Varsity event. Competing for the Lady Gators were Karla Calvillo (10th grade) placing 12th with a time of 27:27, Olivia Sanders (12th grade) placing 18th with a time of 29:10, Madison Donlon (11th grade) placing 38th with a time of 34:22, and Ta’Quanna Keith-Johnsen (11th grade) placing 42nd with a time of 36:06. Scoring for the Gators were Caleb Wise (11th grade) placing 4th with a time of 20:09, Brayten Hood (9th grade) placing 9th with a time of 21:18, Brock Payne (9th grade) placing 19th with a time of 22:32, Daniel Estrada (12th grade) placing 18th with a time of 22:32, and Wesley Frye (11th grade) placing 21st with a time of 22:48.
