Ware County Varsity Lady Gators Earn Walk-Off Win Over King's Ridge Christian Varsity Tigers

Ware County Varsity Lady Gators took Friday's game in dramatic fashion, with an 8-7 walk-off victory over King's Ridge Christian Varsity Tigers. Ware County Varsity Lady Gators were down 7-5 in the bottom of the fifth inning when Mickey Robertson grounded out, scoring the winning run!
Ware County Varsity Lady Gators rallied for the victory despite trailing 4-0 in the first.
King's Ridge Christian Varsity Tigers got on the board in the top of the first inning.
Reagan Middleton hit a sacrifice fly, which helped Ware County Varsity Lady Gators tie the game at four in the bottom of the third.
King's Ridge Christian Varsity Tigers took the lead in the top of the fifth.
Ware County Varsity Lady Gators captured the lead, 8-7, in the bottom of the fifth when Kallie Lairsey singled, scoring one run, and Robertson grounded out, scoring the winning run.
Kayleigh LeMay stepped in the circle first for Ware County Varsity Lady Gators. The pitcher allowed six hits and six runs (three earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking two. Mattie Forsyth appeared in relief for Ware County Varsity Lady Gators.
Paislee Wildes led Ware County Varsity Lady Gators with two runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right fielder went 2-for-2 on the day. Kara Coleman and Wildes each collected two hits for Ware County Gators.
