The conditions were tough on Lake Oconee with all of the rain in the area it really muddied up the water and the temperature dropped 6 degrees during the day while the wind kicked up making the fish hard to come by. It was so tough 140 of the 270 boats that fished the tournament didn't bring any fish back to the scales. Impressively some of our guys were still able to go out and find fish. Grant Geiger and Colt Cox Finished in 6th with 4 fish for 9lbs 12 oz qualifying them for state. Austin Pierce and Will Griffin finished in 37th with 3 Fish for 4lbs 11ozs. Austin and Will missed qualifying for state by 4oz. Evan Geiger and Mason Tyre finished with 1 fish for 2lbs 2oz. Our other two teams that competed in the 2nd GHSA qualifier were Kyler Mathews and Waylon Smith and Clary Kinnon and Cody Gay. We are looking forward to West Point next month on March 16th for our next GHSA event.
