Friday, the Gator Guns Rifle Team showed marked improvement at the rifle range, delivering their highest score of the season against Savannah High. With a commanding score of 1161, including an impressive 70 center shots, they secured a dominating victory. Special congratulations are in order for Neve Smoak, whose stellar performance earned her qualification for the state tournament, alongside outstanding contributions from Makayla Whitley, Gabrielle Howard, and the rest of the team.
Also, on Friday the girls Wrestling Competed at the GHSA 5A Girls East Sectional, Samantha Savinon-Rios and Delaney James showcased their skill by clinching 4th place in their respective weight classes. Their outstanding performances have secured their spots in the GHSA 5A State Championships in Macon, marking a significant achievement for the team.
In baseball's season-opening scrimmage on Friday against Effingham County, the Gator Baseball team demonstrated their strength and teamwork, securing a convincing 11-1 victory. The game saw contributions from numerous players, reflecting the depth and talent within the team.
On Saturday, our Boys Wrestling team competed at the GHSA 5A East Sectionals, the Boys Gator Wrestling Team delivered an exceptional performance, qualifying an impressive 10 out of 14 wrestlers for the state tournament. Notable qualifiers include Jordan Maxwell finishing 6th, Da`Marion Zanders finishing 6th, Rodrigo Reyes finishing 4th, Kaden Drury finishing 5th, Zy Ramsey finishing 2nd, Gunter Fore finishing 5th, Cameron Hambrick finishing 5th, Wyatt Deal finishing 6th, Noah Lucas finishing 5th, and tournament champion Jebare George at 1st place, showcasing the team's depth and determination under the guidance of Coach Eichfeld and his staff.

Additionally, our Varsity Boys Baseball Team will be hosting Glynn Academy at Gator Field, with the first pitch set for 6:00 PM. Our JV Tennis teams will be hosting Savannah Christian out at WCHS at 4:00 PM. Additionally, our JV Baseball team will be heading over to Tattnall County to take on the Warriors, with the first pitch set for 5:30 PM. The Varsity Girls Basketball Team will be in action in Statesboro for the Region 1 - 5A Tournament, with tipoff at 4:00 PM. The Varsity Boys will also be competing in Statesboro, with tipoff at a later time.
Thursday:
Our JV Girls and Boys Soccer teams will be on the road to Valdosta to take on the Wildcats, with the girls' match at 5:30 PM followed by the boys. Meanwhile, our Varsity Tennis Teams will be hosting Fitzgerald at 4:00 PM. JV Baseball will be hosting the Yellow Jackets of Wayne County at Gator Field, with the first pitch at 5:30 PM. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online at gofan.co. Our JV Girls and Boys Soccer teams will also be hosting Camden County at the soccer complex, with tickets available for purchase online or at the gate.
Friday:
Our Varsity Baseball team will be hosting Brantley County at Gator Field, with first pitch at 6:00 PM. Tickets are available online or at the gate. Our Varsity Soccer teams will be on the road for a Region 1 - 5A showdown in Augusta against the Greenbrier Wolfpack, with the girls' kickoff at 5:00 PM followed by the boys at 7:00 PM.
Saturday:
Our JV Girls and Boys will be on the road to Thomasville to compete in the TCC Cup. Times and opponents are to be announced. Additionally, our Varsity Baseball Team will be in action at Gator Field as we welcome in Calvary Day for a 12:00 PM first pitch. Tickets for this game are $7.00 and can be purchased at the gate or online at gofan.co.
