Ware County Athletics

Friday night, the Gator Basketball Teams came away with 4 wins.  The Gator Basketball Teams traveled over to Coffee County for four games against the Trojans.  The JV Girls defeated Coffee by a score of 42 - 16 , the JV Boys fell to Coffee by a score of 52 - 41, the Varsity Girls defeated Coffee by a score of  51 - 36, and the Varsity Boys defeated Coffee by a score of 68 - 41.

Saturday evening is yet another Region 1 - 5A matchup for the Gator Basketball Teams as Region 1 - 5A begins to take shape. The Gators will be hosting the Wolfpack of Greenbrier in the Gator Den in two Varsity Games.  We will celebrate a new tradition in the Gator Den called Hoopcoming at the conclusion of the Girls’ game, and we will be crowning a Hoopcoming King and Queen. The schedule for Saturday will be as follows will be as follows:

-Varsity Girls at 5:00 PM

-Hoopcoming Celebration

-Varsity Boys at 6:30 PM

The game has huge Region 1 - 5A implications as currently, the Lady Wolfpack are currently 6 - 16 overall and 1 -55 in Region 1 - 5A The Lady Gators are currently sitting at 17 - 5 overall and 7 - 1 in Region 1 - 5A. 

The Varsity Boys will also take on the Wolfpack  who are sitting at 9 - 11 overall and 2 - 4 in Region 1 - 5A. The Gators' record stands at 14 - 8 overall and 6 - 2 in Region.
