The Ware County Gator Swim Team Competed well at the Region 1 - 5A Championships on Saturday. The girls team scored 46 points and finished second behind Greenbrier High School and had several individual championships while the Boys finished third with 12 points for a combined team score of 58 points to come in third overall in Region 1 - 5A.
Region Champs:
Matthew Davis Boys 200 yard Freestyle. Matthew also finished 2nd in the 500 yard freestyle with a state cut time of5:18.00.
Sophie Cochran also won the girls 200 yard IM and the 100 yard breaststroke.
The Girls Relay also took first place in the 200 yard Freestyle. Those girls are Sophie Cochran, Stella Kallay, Lindsy Moore, and Hannah Moore.
