Ware County Athletics

Friday night is a huge one for all of the Gator Basketball Teams. The Gators will host the Jenkins Warriors for four games. The schedule for tomorrow will be as follows:

-JV Girls at 4:00 PM

-JV Boys at 5:00 PM

-Varsity Girls at 6:00 PM

-Varsity Boys at 7:30 PM

The game has huge region 1 - 5A implications as currently, the Lady Warriors are 6 - 5 overall and 0 - 1 in region 1 - 5A with a loss to fellow region mate Statesboro by a score of 63 - 33. The Lady Gators are currently sitting at 10 - 5 over all and 0 - 1 in Region 1 - 5A with the only loss coming again Bradwell Institute by a score of 38 - 35. The Lady Gators are looking to maintain and improve their 51.2 points per game average while holding the Warriors to their 43.3. points per game average.

The Varsity Boys will also take on the Warriors from Jenkins who are sitting at 7 - 5 overall and 0 - 1 in Region 1 - 5A with the loss coming from Statesboro by a score of 59 - 48. The Gators' record stands at 8 - 7 overall and 0 - 1 in Region 1 - 5A with the loss coming from Bradwell Institute by a score of 70 - 50. The Gators average 65.4 points per game while the Warriors average 57.9 points per game, so this is sure to be a great matchup .
