Ware County Lady Gators Surge Past Arabia Mountain Lady Rams Thanks To Big First Inning
Ware County softball defeated Arabia Mountain 19-2 on Monday thanks in part to 15 runs in the first inning. Mackenzi Trull singled, scoring one run; Kaleigh Joiner drew a walk, scoring one run; Amberley Padgett singled, scoring two runs; LaNeeya Garrison drew a walk, scoring one run; Raygan Dixon singled, scoring three runs; a passed ball scored one run, Aniston Delk drew a walk, scoring one run; Padgett drew a walk, scoring one run; Molly Smith was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and a wild pitch scored two runs.
Ware extended their early lead with four runs in the bottom of the second thanks to RBI singles by Delk and Cuylea Martin.
Reagan Middleton stepped in the circle first for the Lady Gators. She surrendered zero hits and zero runs over one inning, striking out two and walking none. Kennedy Garner stepped in the circle first for the Lady Rams. The starting pitcher allowed three hits and nine runs (six earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking four. Kayleigh LeMay appeared in relief for Ware County Varsity Gators.
Delk, Martin, Dixon, Trull, and Padgett each collected one hit for Ware. Joiner led Ware County Varsity Gators with three walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting 11 walks for the game. Trull stole two bases. Ware stole four bases in the game.
Kenidi Johnson went 1-for-2 at the plate to lead Arabia Mountain in hits. Jaloni Williams led Arabia the Lady Rams with one run batted in.

Monday
Ware County Lady Gators Impressive In Win Against Ola Varsity Mustangs
Ware County softball won big over Ola Varsity Mustangs 7-0 on Monday.
The Lady Gators got on the board in the third inning after a wild pitch scored one run.
Molly Smith hammered her first career home run to center field, scoring two runs in the top of the fifth for the Ware.
Ware added three more runs in the top of the sixth inning on four hits. Cuylea Martin homered to left field, scoring two runs, and a wild pitch scored one run.
LaNeeya Garrison hit a solo home run to center field in the top of the seventh for Ware to cap off the victory over Ola to head into day 2 still undefeated.
Reagan Middleton started the game for Ware. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. Madison Kurtz led things off in the circle for Ola. The right-handed pitcher gave up eight hits and six runs (five earned) over five and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking none.
Ware County collected 10 hits in the game. Smith and Mackenzi Trull each collected two hits for the Lady Gators. Martin and Smith each drove in two runs for Ware County Varsity Gators. Ware was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Martin had the most chances in the field with 10.
Bam Humber set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Ola with two hits in four at bats. The Lady Mustangs turned one double play in the game.

Tuesday
Ware Stymied By Ola Mustangs
Ware couldn't keep up with Ola and fell 14-2 on Tuesday. An error put the Ola Mustangs on the board in the bottom of the first.
The Lady Gators took the lead in the top of the second. An error scored two runs, to give Ware the upper hand, 2-1.
Ola flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring seven runs on five hits to take a 8-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to center field by Shaley Jones that drove in three.
Ola scored five more runs on three hits in the bottom of the third inning. Jones singled, scoring one run, Katie Lemonds singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and an error scored one run.
Reagan Middleton stepped in the circle first for Ware. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and eight runs (two earned) over one and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking three. Madison Kurtz opened the game for Ola Varsity Mustangs. The pitcher gave up two hits and two runs (zero earned) over four innings, striking out four and walking one. Josie Augustine and Amberley Padgett were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected one hit for Ware while hitting back-to-back.
Ola piled up 10 hits in the game. Leadoff hitter Bam Humber led the Mustangs with three hits in four at bats. Jones provided pop in the middle of the lineup and led Ola with four runs batted in. The hitter went 2-for-3 on the day. Kayleigh Hester collected two hits for Ola in three at bats. The Lady Mustangs turned one double play in the game.

Tuesday
Game Goes Down To The Wire As Ware Loses To Ola On Final Play
Ware County fell to Ola 4-3 on Tuesday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at three in the bottom of the eighth when Morgan Lewis singled, scoring one run.
The Lady Gators lost despite outhitting Ola five to four. Raygan Dixon led Ware County with two hits.
An error put Ola on the board in the bottom of the third.
Aniston Delk grounded out, but helped Ware tie the game at three in the top of the seventh.

Madison Kurtz led things off in the circle for Ola. She gave up five hits and three runs (two earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out two and walking three.
Dixon went 2-for-3 at the plate as the leadoff hitter led the team with one run batted in. Ware Lady Gators had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game.
Trinity Camp, Katie Lemonds, Lewis, and Emme Hartman each collected one hit for Ola Varsity Mustangs. Lewis led Ola with two runs batted in. The batter went 1-for-4 on the day.
