-The Ware County Gators ninth grade football team came up short to the Coffee County Trojans tonight by a score of 28-22. It was a backhand fourth game the entire night, but the Gators ran out of time by mere seconds at the end of the game. Isaiah White had an another great game, throwing for 250 yards and 3 touchdowns. Ja’Londi O’Hara had 5 catches on the night, including two touchdowns. Lojuan Blue KJ Junious both ran the ball well, with Junious also catching the last touchdown. Credit, again, has to be given to Kobe Lee, Bryson McNamee, Lucas Howard, Kentavious Hall and Kydarien Bennett on the offensive line for their amazing blocking all night.
The Gator defense played hard all night. Jamarion Keyhea finished with 6 tackles, 1 sack, and 2 for a loss. Evan Thomas finished with 4 tackles, and 2 for a loss. Ja’Quavious Owens finished with 6 tackles and 1 for a loss. The defense stepped up in big moments and got the ball back for the offense to give them a chance to win the game.
-The Ware County Junior Varsity Gators defeated the Coffee County Trojans by a score of 20-3. Coffee got on the board first, but the Blackwater Defense put the clamps down after that. The Blackwater Defense had a huge goal line stand, towards the end of the first half, that changed the momentum of the entire game! The Gators scored 20 unanswered points the second half. All of the Gator touchdowns game on the ground by the trio of Jamir Boyd, Slade Sweat, and Zhai Solomon. The Gators move to 5-0 and have won 11 Junior Varsity games in a row. As always, thanks for your support and Go Gators!
