The Ware County Lady Gators fell 7-2 to Bacon County Lady Raiders on Monday despite out-hitting them eight to six.
Bacon opened the scoring in the first after Ayla Dixon singled, scoring two runs.
An error extended the Lady Raiders’ lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning.
Kayleigh LeMay stepped in the circle first for Ware. The starting pitcher allowed six hits and seven runs (zero earned) over six innings, striking out none and walking none. Cloe Pless led things off in the circle for Bacon County Lady Raiders Varsity. The starting pitcher gave up eight hits and two runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking one.
LaNeeya Garrison led Ware with one run batted in. The center fielder went 2-for-3 on the day.
