Lady Gators Defeat Greenbrier Wolfpack in Game One of a Region Opening Doubleheader 

Ware County Varsity Lady Gators ousted Greenbrier Varsity Wolfpack 5-1 on Thursday. 
A ground out by Samara Harris put Greenbrier on the board in the bottom of the first. Amberley Padgett singled, which helped Ware tie the game at one in the top of the third. 
the Lady Gators jumped back into the lead in the top of the fifth inning after Greenbrier committed an error, Mackenzi Trull singled, and Aniston Delk singled, each scoring one run. 
Reagan Middleton started the game for Ware. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and one run over seven innings, striking out two and walking one. Taylor Schneider stepped in the circle first for Greenbrier Varsity Wolfpack. The righty allowed nine hits and five runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out three and walking one. 
Number eight hitter, Molly Smith, showed the depth of the Lady

Gators's lineup, by leading them with two hits in four at bats. Delk, Middleton, Trull, and Padgett each drove in one run for WC. Ware’s Raygan Dixon turned one double play in the game. 
Harris went 1-for-3 at the plate to lead the Wolfpack in hits.

Ware County Lady Gators Fought Hard, but Fall To Greenbrier Varsity Wolfpack After Late Score

Ware stayed in it until the end, but the Greenbrier Wolfpack pulled away late in a 7-6 victory in game two of a region doubleheader on Thursday. The game was tied at six in the bottom of the fifth when Camille Lui laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run. Greenbrier Varsity Wolfpack opened the scoring in the first after Addison Thouvenot singled, scoring two runs. 
Ware flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring five runs on five hits to take a 5-2 lead. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Josie Augustine that drove in two. 
The Wolfpack made the score 6-5 in the bottom of the fourth after Britt Davis singled, scoring two runs, and Harlem Waul doubled, scoring one run. 
Mackenzi Trull singled, helping Ware tie the game at six in the top of the fifth. 
Freshman Reagan Middleton started in the circle for Ware. She gave up seven hits and six runs (two earned) over three and one-third innings, striking out four and walking two. 
LaNeeya Garrison and Amberley Padgett each collected two hits for Ware. Augustine and Padgett each drove in two runs for the Lady Gators. Sophomore Amberley Padgett hit her first career home run as a Lady Gator. 
Davis provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Wolfpack with three runs batted in. She went 2-for-4 on the day. Thouvenot, Waul, Davis, and Brooke Raymond each collected two hits for Greenbrier. They were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Davis had the most chances in the field with eight. 
Next up for the Lady Gators is a varsity game at Bacon County on Monday.
