Coach Alesia Gibson and her Lady Gators tipped off the 2023 Volleyball Season on the
road at Brooks County HS. It was a good day for Gator Nation. The Lady Gators won both
matches against the Lady Trojans of Brooks County and the Lady Bulldogs of
Thomasville HS. In the first match, the Lady Gators defeated the Lady Trojans in the
best of 2 out 3 games. The Gators won the first set 25-11, lost the second set 25-21, but
dominated the third set by the score of 15-1. In the second match, the Lady Gators
would continue to control the games by winning in straight sets against the Lady
Bulldogs with scores of 25-20 and 25-16. Overall, the girls played well in some
aspects of the game”, said Head Coach Alesia Gibson. “However, we saw several
mistakes that we will need to work on at practice to improve our skill level of the game.”
The Lady Gators will be back in action on Tuesday, August 15 th . The Gators will travel
over to Valdosta to play Georgia Christian School. As Always; GO GATORS!!!
