Ware County's JV Softball took the lead late and defeated Brantley County JV by a score of 3 - 1 on Monday. The game was tied at one with Ware batting in the top of the fifth when Amberley Padgett singled on a 1 - 1 count, scoring one run
The pitching was strong on both sides. Kaleigh LeMay struck out six, while Hall sat down five.
LeMay earned the win for Ware as she only allowed four hits and one home run over four innings, striking out six.
Hall took the loss for Brantley. The hurier surrendered three runs on five hits over four innings, striking out five.
Padgett led Ware with two hits in three at bats.
Next up the Lady Gators JV squad head over to Wayne County for a 5:00 PM first pitch against the Yellow Jackets.
