The 2018 Wacona College and Career Fair was a huge success with over 130 fifth grade students, Ware County High School CTAE students, and business leaders in attendance. Engagers shared career information about the education, training, and skills required for various positions in our community. All attendees enjoyed watching college virtual tours of two former Wacona Elementary students, Corinna and Rayanna Wester. Post assessment data indicated that the fair increased college and career awareness, broaden the scope of previous career interests, and helped learners obtain information about the Ware County High School pathway options. Dr. Kim Callahan, Wacona Elementary Counselor ad Career Fair organizer, expressed sincere gratitude to the many school officials, business leaders and Ware County High School CTAE pathway teachers and students who support the career development program. Mr. John Chancey is the principal at Wacona Elementary.
