Ware County Middle FFA had an awesome showing,= at the annual Waycross Fair FFA Contest Events. The Environmental Natural Resource (ENR) Team placed 2nd overall in their competition. The team consisted of (from left) Gavin C., Lane S., Landon D. & Garrett C. Students in the ENR competition must identify animals, trees and equipment associated with the area of Environmental Natural Resources. It is designed to develop an understanding of Georgia's natural resources while allowing students to explore and prepare for possible careers in Natural Resources and Environmental Science.
The Livestock Evaluation team placed 3rd overall in their competition. The team consisted of (from left): Advisor Cherry Henderson, Caden H., Blake T., Colleen B. and Maddox L. Blake T. was also the 2nd high individual in the contest. Participants in the Livestock Evaluation CDE evaluate breeding and market cattle, swine, sheep, and goats. Students also interpreted performance data on selected placing classes of breeding animals. The Livestock Evaluation CDE is designed to develop the ability to select and market livestock that will satisfy consumer demands and provide increased economic returns to producers.
