Update

Here are several important reminders from the Ware County School System:

  1. School begins tomorrow, August 17th, for both traditional and digital students. Digital students must log in prior to 11:59pm in order to be marked present. Any student who does not log in will be marked as a No Show and will be removed from the roll. If you have technical difficulty and are not able to log in, please contact your child’s school during school hours.
  2. School buses will be on the road tomorrow carrying precious cargo. Please allow extra time in your commute and watch for students loading and unloading in the morning and afternoon.
  3. Parents, you play an integral part in helping keep our schools a safe environment for everyone. Please take your child’s temperature each morning before leaving home to ensure your child is not sick before they get on the bus or arrive at school, where they may put others at risk. If anyone in your household has been diagnosed with COVID-19, all students and staff in the home must quarantine for 10 school days and be fever-free without fever-reducing medication for 24 hours prior to returning to school. If anyone in your home is waiting for the results of a COVID-19 test and has been informed that they were directly exposed, that individual must quarantine, but other students and staff members in the home may return to work or school while waiting for the results. If the test results are positive, all students and staff members in the home must quarantine. For more information about our COVID-19 protocol, please click here.
  4. Finally, parents of returning and newly enrolled students can now complete census verification and beginning of the year paperwork through our Online Registration and Census Verification link, located under the Community section of the Menu. This will greatly reduce the amount of paperwork you will need to complete in the homeroom packet your child will bring home tomorrow. Look for the Census Verification Link to get started. Now, more than ever, we want to remain in consistent and timely contact with the parents of the students we serve, so we appreciate your time in completing the census verification.

We look forward to welcoming your child back to school tomorrow. Thank you, and have a restful evening!
