Ware County Middle School is hosting a community mentoring program which allows students in the program to meet with an adult from the community on a monthly basis. On Friday, January 31st, students participated in an etiquette training taught by Ms. Marian Solomon-Gaines. The mentees had an opportunity to practice their dining etiquette skills by enjoying a meal with the community mentors. The delicious meal and desserts were donated by Gooey's Pizza and Sugar Krystal's. Following Ms. Solomon-Gaines' presentation, Mr. Levi Herrin taught the young men how to tie a necktie. The young ladies received a necklace. Students were encouraged to keep their ties and necklaces for an end of the year celebration where they will further use their newly-learned etiquette skills. A great time was had by all.
