The Ware County Board of Education marked a significant occasion on December 2, 2024, as Probate Judge Calvin Bennett administered the oath of office to four returning board members and the district’s new superintendent, Dr. Lynn Barber.
District 1 Alisa “Toni” Nelson, District 2 Karen Ethridge, District 3 Edward Tyre, and District 7 Barry Deas reaffirmed their commitment to serving the Ware County community. Their continued leadership ensures a strong foundation for the board's work in guiding the district’s educational initiatives.
Dr. Lynn Barber also took the oath of office, officially stepping into his role as superintendent. With a wealth of experience and a vision focused on student success, Dr. Barber aims to build on the district’s legacy of excellence as he takes the helm following Bert Smith’s retirement.
The ceremony highlighted a moment of unity and purpose as the board and superintendent look ahead to addressing the needs of Ware County students and schools.
