Ware County Schools is excited to announce that Dr. Lynn Barber will be stepping into the role of Superintendent, effective December 2, 2024. His appointment to this position was approved at the Called Meeting of the Ware County Board of Education on October 31, 2024.
Dr. Barber brings a wealth of experience in educational leadership and a strong commitment to fostering student success across all levels. His innovative vision and dedication to empowering educators will continue to strengthen the district’s tradition of excellence.
Dr. Barber replaces Mr. Bert Smith, who is retiring after years of dedicated service to Ware County Schools. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Smith for his leadership and commitment to the school community, and we wish him all the best as he embarks on a well-deserved retirement.
