Ruskin Elementary School students, parents, and staff members enjoyed gathering at the Community Center at Garlington Heights to hold Parent/Teacher Conferences. Students were thrilled to see teachers and staff members from Ruskin arrive at the community center and enjoyed playing football with Coach Sharpe while Principal Donna Solomon students' homes and encouraged parents to discuss ways they can help meet the academic needs of their children. Educators had the opportunity to visit with parents and students over pizza and refreshments. Principal Solomon stated, “It indeed takes a village to raise children. We appreciate the support of the parents in learning how to assist their children to be successful in school and instill the importance of education.” Several school district support staff also attended the event, including Superintendent Bert Smith and Dr. Jackie Turner, Director of Student Services. Donna Solomon is the principal of Ruskin Elementary School.
