Classified Golden Achievement Award Winner

This month’s Golden Achievement Award recipient for classified staff is Ms. Tammy Mullis at Waycross Middle School. Upon presenting her award, Principal David Hitt shared the following:

"Ms. Mullis is a consummate professional. She serves as a science paraprofessional in two different 7th grade classrooms. If you were not aware, 7th grade is the most difficult grade in middle school and probably the most difficult in a student’s public education career. This is where Tammy makes the biggest difference in our student’s lives. She helps them navigate all the changes that they go through in seventh grade and helps calm the storms of their emotions as they struggle through this difficult year.

"Just as important, she supports our 7th grade teachers in an exemplary manner. Ms. Mullis is dependable, steady, has nearly completed her bachelor’s degree to become a teacher – and she will be an amazing teacher – and is a role model for our students and our staff. She makes a positive difference daily.

"Ms. Tammy Mullis, is a Waycross Middle Bulldog through and through and is very worthy of this month’s Golden Achievement Award. She is an amazing educator who always goes the extra mile for our students and our school.
