Each year, the state ESOL Language Program in collaboration with the statewide EL Advisory Committee, recognizes one exemplary high school senior EL student and one Exemplary ESOL teacher as nominated from each district. The exemplary student selected must have a minimum 3.5 GPA, demonstrate leadership in various areas, possess exemplary character, and exhibit outstanding behavior. The ESOL Teacher selected was voted on by the district ESOL Teacher Team. This individual is known for making a positive impact in the school, community, and lives of English learners and demonstrates exemplary professionalism and leadership. Congratulations to Samantha S. (not pictured) for being recognized as an Exemplary English Learner and Dinah Myrick (right) for being recognized as the Exemplary ESOL Teacher.
