Lily P. and Isabelle T. were part of a group of WHES students who presented information on the Williams Heights Elementary Lemonade Stand project held in September. The project raised $1991 for childhood cancer through the sale of lemonade and lemon-flavored treats. An anonymous donor at the October board meeting pushed the total earned over the $2000 mark! Students who ran the lemonade stand learned marketing, design, economics (and even bill collecting!) skills through the project, but its ultimate goal was to teach students the importance of giving back to the community. Job well-done, WHES! 💛
