Kindergarten and first grade students at Memorial Drive Elementary School recently had a visit from Miss Georgia Angus Princess, Nancy Murray. She is the daughter of Herbie and Becky Murray of Folkston, Georgia and a student at Charlton County High School. Crowned Miss Georgia Angus Princess in December, Nancy has since made it her mission to spread awareness of the importance of agriculture. During her visit, students learned more about raising cattle and different careers in agriculture; they were even able to pet the baby cow. Dr. Shawn Benefield is principal at Memorial Drive Elementary School.
