Dr. Buford Tyrone Kellogg is a graduate of Paine College and Jacksonville State University. He earned his Doctorial Degree from Argosy University. Dr. Kellogg has served more than 30 years in education as a Teacher, Coach and as an Administrator. He believes in being a servant leader and understands the importance of focusing on growth of students and teachers in moving schools forward. Dr. Kellogg is originally from Cordele, Georgia, and in his spare time he enjoys reading, traveling and playing Madden.

Peggy Jones

Mrs. Peggy Jones is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, Troy University and Kennesaw State University. She has 17 years of experience as an educator in Ware County, serving as a lead math teacher at Waycross Middle School and Ware County High School. Mrs. Jones was born and raised in Waycross, Georgia by her parents Tommy and Linda Lovett. Mrs. Jones is married to Jeff Jones, and they reside in Waycross. Mrs. Jones has two children: Laban Faulk, 2015 WCHS graduate, and Jade Buchanan (married to Ethan Buchanan), 2018 WCHS graduate. She is also blessed with one precious grandchild: Kace Buchanan. Mr. and Mrs. Jones love spending their time traveling, exercising, attending sporting events, and taking care of their fur babies.

Justin Jury

Mr. Justin Jury obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a major in Accounting from Valdosta State University. He also completed an MBA degree program at the University of West Georgia. He completed the SETWEB program at the University of Georgia to obtain his educator's certificate. Mr. Jury obtained an Education Specialist degree in Educational Leadership through Valdosta State University. Mr. Jury has served as a special education teacher, general education teacher, coach, special education coordinator and administrator. He has served 16 years in education and he has been in the Ware County system since 2016. He will be serving as our Special Education Coordinator and an Assistant Principal this school year. Mr. Jury has been married to Ashley for 12 years and they have 2 beautiful children, Jade (7) and Ryker (5).

Courtney Brown

Ms. Brown graduated from Paine College and Albany State University. She is scheduled to begin work in the Fall on her Education Specialist Degree at Georgia College and State University. Ms. Brown is entering her 21st year in education. She served thirteen years as a high school math teacher and the remaining seven as an Instructional Coach and Teacher Development Specialist. This is her first year as an Assistant Principal. Ms. Brown has three adult children (Corey Lance, Cassidy Lynn and Cody Lawrence) and five grands (Takya, McKenzie, Kingston, Corey Jr. and Colton). She enjoys reading and spending time with family.

Paulk

Shawanna Paulk

Assistant Principal - 9th Grade

Mrs. Shawanna Paulk is originally from Dodge County but graduated from Coffee High School after relocating to Coffee County. Mrs. Paulk received her bachelor's of Science degree from Savannah State University, her Master's degree from Troy State University, and her Educational Leadership degree from Valdosta State University. She has over 14 years of experience as an educator extending from middle school to high school.  Mrs. Paulk has served as a teacher, mentor, PBIS coordinator & CMS choir director. She has also received her gifted endorsement and teaching & coaching endorsements from OKRESA. She is married with three children (Emari, Anthony & Kaydence) and resides in Douglas, Ga. Mrs. Paulk is an entrepreneur who loves to sing, travel and spend time with her family and friends

Giedl

Bill Giedl

Assistant Principal - 10th Grade

Mr. Bill Giedl obtained his B.S., from Armstrong Atlantic University, M.S., from Troy
University, and his Ed.S., from Kennesaw State University. Mr. Giedl is originally from
Allentown, PA but has resided in Waycross since 1995. Mr. Giedl graduated from
Parkland High School in 1984 and joined the United States Air Force 3 years later
where he served at Moody Air Force Base in Valdosta, GA for 4 years. Mr. Giedl began
his teaching career at Ombudsman Education Services where he served as director of
the program in 2010. He began his teaching career at Ware County High School in 2012
working as a math co-teacher in the special education department. He is married to
Renee Pittman Giedl for over 30 years and has two children, Lindsay and Chandler. In
his spare time, he plays golf and enjoys cabin life in the North Georgia Mountains.

Denney

Crystal Denney

Mrs. Crystal “Crissy” Denney graduated from Mercer University with a Bachelor’s of Science in education.  She later obtained a Master’s of Science in Education and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Valdosta State University.  Mrs. Denney has served in education as a high school math teacher and as the math department chair.  In her spare time, Mrs. Denney enjoys hiking, watching sports, reading, and spending time with her houseful of pets.

Barefield

Hannah Barefield

Mrs. Hannah Barefield is a graduate of Georgia Southern University, Arkansas State University, and Kennesaw State University. She has seven years of experience as a middle grades science teacher, high school social studies teacher, and coach of various sports. This is her first year serving as an Instructional Coach. Mrs. Barefield is a Waycross native. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending concerts and sporting events, and taking care of her two dogs, Tybee and Amelia.

Matt Collins

Carlton Matthew “Matt” Collins has been at Ware County High School since 2007 serving as a special education teacher. Matt went to South Georgia College to earn his Associate’s Degree in Education, Georgia Southern University where he obtained his Bachelor’s of Science in Special Education, Troy University where he obtained his Master’s of Science in Education, and Liberty University where he obtained his Educational Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Matt has served as a coach for Ware County wrestling, track and field, and football since 2007. He has been married to his high school sweetheart, Katie Collins, for fourteen years, and they have been blessed with two boys, Walker and Wesley. Matt is excited to serve as Assistant Principal and Athletic Director at Ware County High School.
