Memorial Stadium is a 10,000-capacity, county-owned stadium located in Waycross, Georgia. Waycross, situated in the southeast part of the state of Georgia, is the largest city in Ware County.

Noted for its J-shaped main stand, Memorial Stadium was originally intended as a multi-use venue that would be home to both baseball and football in Ware County. During the 1950s and 1960s the stadium played host to a duo of Georgia–Florida League teams, the Bears and the Braves in addition to hosting high school football in the autumn.

In 2002 the stadium was renovated and became a venue exclusively for sports played on rectangular fields (chiefly football, though soccer is also played at the venue occasionally) with the addition of a new stand running along the northern sideline.

The stadium was once again renovated to include brick bases, larger seats; both chairback reserved seating as well as general admission.  The renovation included adding handrails and aluminum steps to the home side, an expanded handicapped section to the visitor side, an updated scoreboard with video panel, as well as all new expanded visitor and renovated home locker rooms, as well as a state of the are lighting and sound system that is sure to make the fan experience one that will not be forgotten.

On any given Friday night, fans will have the pleasure of hearing The Voice of The Gator:  Mr. Ed Flowers energizing the stands along with several others that manage the music to correlate alongside the Golden Gator Band. The sounds of the train horn and fireworks echo throughout Memorial Stadium with each Gator score. Fan gear is easily located beneath the stadium at the Gator Gear Store sponsored by Huckleberry Apparel. After visiting the Gator Gear store, visit one of our many concession stands situated around the stadium. The experience of the Friday night lights in the swamp is like none other.  If you can’t join us in person, be sure to check out the action live as the Ware County Gator Stream Team provides live streaming services that can be found through the NFHS website at https://www.nfhsnetwork.com/.  Through this link, you can listen to Ware County and the Kub’s own Brian Blount and Joseph Haymen broadcast and view the streaming from the WCHS Stream team led by Ross Bedford, Jess Coleman and warecountygatornation’s Chris Wysong.  Together this group of men and students put together a made-for-TV-production that will make you feel like you were there in person cheering The Gators on to Victory.
